Why Hope Hike: Lisette and I met at Welcome Wagon playing Mahjongg and became fast friends and then hiking partners at Pinnacle Mountain. Our time together there was cut short when she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Lisette always wanted an event here in Little Rock to benfit Ovarian Cancer Reseach and Education. If she could she would have led this hike up her favorite Pinnacle and shouted out loud in hopes of silencing this killer forever...We will spread the word for her! by Ellen Lowitz

Hope Hike 2012: The 2012 Hope Hike will take place Sunday, September 16 at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. We will meet at the base of Pinnacle Mountain at 12:00pm. Once you have completed your hike, join us for an after-hike celebration at the pavilion.

About Pinnacle Mountain: Pinnacle Mountain is a day-use park dedicated to environmental education, recreation, and preservation. Located just west of Little Rock, this natural environment was set aside in 1977 as Arkansas's first state park adjoining a major metropolitan area. Operating as a day-use only park, Pinnacle Mountain is dedicated to preservation, recreation, and environmental education. Park interpreters and volunteers help visitors and students understand man's relationship to the environment in the 2,000-acre park that offers a rich diversity of natural habitat.

Directions to Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Pinnacle Mountain State Park is located at 11901 Pinnacle Valley Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223. Take Exit No. 9 (Highway 10) off I-430 at Little Rock and travel seven miles west on Highway 10. Then turn north on Highway 300 and travel approximately two miles to the base of Mt. Pinnacle (it will be on the right).
